Luscious organic sesame oil has an intense cleansing effect. Sesame oil, used in Ayurvedic traditions, is said to free the skin of toxins while strengthening the immune system at the same time.

Castor oil’s unique composition makes it ideal for cleansing as it deeply penetrates the skin to help remove makeup and impurities. It’s anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties clear the skin of bacteria and offer a remedy to troubled skin and clogged pores.

Black cumin seed oil (Nigella Sativa) is a peppery smelling oil with a long history of skin healing use in the Middle East and South Asia. It comes from the buttercup family Ranunculus – one of my favourite family of flowers. The healing properties of this oil are legendary. Many studies have been done and have identified over one hundred nutrients including vitamins, minerals, the essential fatty acids, copper, phosphorous carotenes, protein, carbohydrates and fiber!

Jojoba oil is recognized by the skin due to its similarity to sebum, the skin’s natural wax. Besides vitamins, jojoba oil contains minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc which all serve to nourish and protect the skin from environmental stressors. Jojoba oil is naturally antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory.

THE RITUAL

Gently massage 3 – 5 pumps of Purify Cleansing Oil onto dry skin with dry hands. Do not mix with water. Then wet your hands and massage your skin; you will notice the oil becoming slightly milky as it lifts dirt and makeup out of your skin.  Follow by taking a warm steamy facecloth to your face: Press it onto your skin and revel in the sensory experience.  Gently wipe upwards to remove all traces of residual oil.  Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Shake before use.
